Lulu Island
Lulu is an artificial island in Abu Dhabi. Next to the breakwater of Marina Bay. You can get there easily by taking a boat from the Marina Harbour. The boat is free. However, you have to pay for 15 Dhs after you arrived. It is for the transportation in the island. You can choose between train and bus. I prefer bus because it uses AC, gonna need that, definitely!
Lulu means pearl in Arabic. The island is ment to be a pearl in Abu Dhabi by the time the construction is finished. Not much to see right now, but the beach is fabulous. Especially during sunset. The island itself is open from 8 AM to 8 PM, so there is lot of time to spent there. But I prefer to come there at almost evening so the sun would not be too hot and plus that I can see the sunset.
It is one of the best afternoon that I have so far. I was so crazy taking hundred of pictures! Other than enjoying the view, don’t forget to collect corals. I picked two and brought it home as souvenirs. Hm..lulu island, such a beautiful place.
